I have always had a love for the analog, the classical, the old fashioned – both in art and as a way of life.
As a young teen my love for analog photography became the foundation of my artistic vision.
Captivated by the intentionality, patience and high stakes nature of shooting 35 mm film where every frame mattered. It excited me and drew me in to a life of creating.
As I‘ve grown I have learned of my own personal interconnection to painting. I grew up seeing Vermeer’s Girl With The Pearl Earring, hung prominently above the staircase of my my grandparents house that I grew up in, & Michelangelos Creation of Adam was etched into my memory since I could remember. These masterpieces became apart of my artistic DNA.
So, when I chose to become a fine artist, I committed fully to that path—drawing inspiration from the timeless works that shaped me. My goal is to evoke the same emotion, grandeur, and lasting impact found in the art of the Old Masters. Today, that passion drives my study and practice, pushing me to honor tradition while finding my own voice within it.
